Discovering that I should've been ashamed was jarring, to say the least.

Having to choose between happiness and respect because I'm told that I can't have both.
Existing within the whispers of useless critiques while screaming in a silent boast.
No rest for the unwanted, no vacations or a life of ease. 
Having the necessity to work for affection while pretending it's not what I need.
